Care Guide

Practical Care for Indoor Lighting & Furniture

Proper care helps protect the appearance, function, and longevity of your Aorvo pieces. This guide provides general care recommendations for indoor lighting and furniture. Materials, finishes, and care requirements may vary by product — always review the product page and any product-specific instructions first.

Product Page First

Before cleaning or maintaining any product, please review the product page for materials, finish, dimensions, assembly and installation requirements, indoor or outdoor suitability, bulb compatibility, care notes, warranty coverage, and return eligibility.

Where product-specific instructions differ from this guide, the product-specific instructions take precedence.

General Daily Care

For most indoor lighting and furniture, gentle and consistent care is the most effective approach. Dust regularly with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Wipe spills promptly and dry surfaces immediately. Apply any cleaner to the cloth first — never directly to the product. Use mild diluted soap only when appropriate for the material, and spot test on a hidden area before use.

Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, abrasive pads, rough cloths, steel wool, bleach, strong solvents, steam cleaning, standing water, excessive moisture, direct heat, and prolonged direct sunlight.

Lighting Care

Before cleaning any lighting product, turn off the power and allow bulbs and fixture components to cool completely. Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust from fixtures, bulbs, shades, and visible surfaces. Do not spray cleaner directly onto sockets, wiring, switches, bulbs, or electrical components.

For hardwired lighting, professional installation by a licensed electrician is strongly recommended. If you are unsure whether a fixture can be safely cleaned, adjusted, or handled, contact Aorvo before proceeding.

Glass & Crystal

Handle glass and crystal components with care. For regular maintenance, dust with a soft microfiber cloth. For fingerprints or light marks, apply a glass-appropriate cleaner to the cloth first — never directly to the product. Avoid abrasive pads, rough towels, harsh chemicals, excessive pressure, and sudden impact.

Do not remove, soak, or disassemble glass or crystal components unless product-specific instructions clearly allow it.

Metal Finishes

Metal finishes — including brass, bronze, black, nickel, chrome, antique, brushed, painted, plated, and powder-coated surfaces — should be dusted regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For light cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners, polishing compounds, alcohol, bleach, rough pads, and harsh chemicals unless product-specific instructions allow it.

Some metal finishes may naturally develop subtle tone variation or patina over time — this is part of the material's character and is not always a defect.

Wood & Wood Veneer

Protect wood and wood veneer surfaces from moisture, heat, sunlight, and harsh cleaning products. Dust with a soft, dry microfiber cloth, wiping along the grain where visible. For light cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Use coasters under drinks and placemats under tableware.

Do not use excessive water, steam cleaners, abrasive pads, bleach, or strong solvents. Natural grain, tone variation, knots, and texture are part of the material's character.

Stone, Marble & Ceramic

Stone, marble, sintered stone, and ceramic surfaces should be cleaned with a soft cloth and water or mild diluted soap, then dried. Use coasters and placemats to protect against rings, scratches, stains, and heat marks. Avoid acidic cleaners, bleach, abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, and strong solvents.

Natural stone may show veining, mineral marks, and tone variation — these are characteristics of the material, not defects.

Upholstery & Soft Materials

Vacuum upholstery, fabric, leather, faux leather, and woven surfaces gently using a soft brush or low-suction attachment. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — do not rub. Do not saturate with water. Avoid bleach, harsh chemicals, abrasive tools, and high heat. Keep upholstered materials away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat sources.

For stains, test any cleaning method on a hidden area first, or consult a professional cleaner.

Suggested Care Routine

Daily or After Use

Wipe spills promptly. Remove crumbs, dust, or light debris. Use coasters and placemats when needed.

Weekly

Dust lighting and furniture surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Vacuum upholstery gently if appropriate. Check high-use surfaces for marks or moisture.

Monthly

Review fixtures, shades, table surfaces, and furniture hardware for dust, looseness, or visible wear. Clean glass or reflective surfaces if needed. Confirm that furniture remains level and stable.

As Needed

Blot spills immediately. Contact Aorvo before cleaning, modifying, disassembling, or using a product in a way that may affect it. Use professional cleaning or installation help when appropriate.
